Enlil’s Kolluks and Novia Earring

^ That right there took me a little over two years to obtain.
I must have passed it about six times to other people in previous Salvage statics. Why? It’s because Marduk’s hands are pretty much more useful for White Mages than Bard. Yeah, I’m that nice, and like I always say, “others before myself.” However, in my new Salvage static, I finally got them.
That now makes me 48/50 on Marduk pieces. I’m missing the level 25 pieces for the hands and the head now. Once I obtain them, I’ll be 5/5 Marduk’s, but that’s if and when I finish Marduk’s body. Marduk’s Tiara and Hands are a bit easier to swallow money-wise.
This comes to the next piece of gear that took me by surprise somewhat…

I was originally intending to buy this from an old LS leader over a year ago when the LS disbanded. There was some drama over the item and the person that the leader gave the Earring to gave it up, but no one came forward to claim them. Linkshell died shortly after, which was no surprise in my sordid history of failed and broken Linkshells. Thus, I offered to buy it off them for 1 million Gil which would be split between the remaining LS members after the LS disbanded. That never happened seeing I had other expenses to deal with, namely upgrading Marduk’s body.
Anyway, long story short, fast forward to now which is a little over a year since then, Novia Earring drops from Jailer of Love a few days ago. No one bidded on them, including myself since it wasn’t on my “priority list.” With no one bidding for them in Linkshell chat, I offered to bid 40 points on them. And, there you have it. I now got this earring which would have cost me 1 million Gil total. I saved a lot of money and I didn’t end up paying another person for it. Especially with rumors swirling around that particular person regarding his misuse of Dynamis currency and using his own LS members only to gear himself and his closest friends. *sigh* The story of greedy, selfish leaders that never ends like an infinite loop in this game. You can’t get rid of them and can’t avoid them; majority of Linkshells in this game have them anyhow.
However, that’ll be another story to tell some other day…
